Crazy, Wacky, Wonky!!
BVJH/BVE student's didn't know what to think of WACKY Day! From long and puffy wigs to mismatch socks to crazy outfits, our students went all out for Day 3 of Homecoming. Congratulations to Lola King and Nolan Hellrung for Best Dressed! We also were able to play "Name That Tune" 9th hour with all the Homerooms and 6B came away with a win and earned a recess!
Ms. Smith's 7A ELA students learned about survival skills while reading the adventure novel, Hatchet, by Gary Paulson. Then they put them to use on the BV Manlius Campus. Great job 7A!
Ms. Bitting's third graders recently wrote essays describing the main character in the story Scaredy Squirrel. Then they drew squirrels by following the step-by-step instructions provided in an Art Hub video.
This week in Mrs. Kuelper‘s fifth grade science class we learned why you need to clean a fish tank but not a pond. The students did an activity to create an ecosystem for their fish with a healthy carbon dioxide level. They had to have three fish foods, two decomposers, and as many producers to keep within the healthy carbon dioxide level for their pond.
It was a bright day in Manlius for Neon Day for Homecoming Day #2. Congratulations to Madison Shipp and Miranda Noder on being Best Dressed, and remember tomorrow is Wacky Wednesday. We also hid 5 lightning bolts to be found today by the students, Avery Pratt, Isaac Pratt, Jayce Kassel-Sampson, Harper Wetzell, and Brooklyn Rowland were our lucky winners today.

It was a sweep for our junior high athletic teams last night! Football came out on top of ROWVA/Williamsfield 34-12, while girls basketball took on the Northbrook Spartans. All four levels came away with a win for the girls basketball teams! Great day to be part of the Storm!
Mrs. Bell's 4th grade students worked in Math Word Problem Hospital as math surgeons. They had to figure out what operation to use on each word problem patient.

Our girls basketball teams are back in conference action tonight vs the Lincoln Lynx. Our 6th grade will travel to LaSalle while our 7th and 8th grade will host LaSalle, both games will tip off at 4:30. Good luck to all three levels tonight! Go Storm!!

Bureau Valley Elementary in Manlius got to experience a presentation today from The Mobile Dairy Classroom. They learned about the modern milking process, healthy diets, animal care, and food safety practices. Many thanks to our presenter and Louise🐮!
