8th grade Physical Science students in Mrs. Hoyt's classroom created catapults to launch jingle bells at a variety of stations. The students are currently learning about Newton's Laws of Motions.









Congratulations to our 8th grade boys basketball team for winning the Serena tournament today! They faced Newark, Earlville, and Grand Ridge and still remain undefeated for the season! Great day to be a Storm! ⚡️

Ms. Bitting's 3rd graders created these amazing holiday pictures by following the guided instructions on Art Hub. They turned out so well and they are now decorating the lobby of The People's National Bank in Sheffield.





Good luck to our boys basketball teams tonight as our 6th grade travels to Streator to take on the Panthers at 4:30. Our 7th grade will tip off against the Panthers at 4:30 with our 8th grade hopes to keep their unbeaten streak going and will tip off following the 7th grade game. Good luck boys!!


🦃🦃Our annual Turkey Bowling took place today for our BVE students where Jason Galassi took away the win while Ava Foster took second and Madalyn King took third. Our elementary staff also participated with Ms. Emma taking the gold and Mrs. Kuelper took a close second. 🦃🦃










Congratulations to our 8th grade girls basketball team as they came away from Princeville tonight to advance to the Regional Championship tomorrow night in Princeville at 5:30.
The district will be offering a fan bus to any 6th-8th grade students interested in attending. The admission for the game is $5 and there is a fully stocked concession stand for students to purchase food, so please plan accordingly. The bus will leave from Manlius at 4:15 tomorrow night, please contact the junior high office tomorrow if your student will be riding the fan bus tomorrow night.
Let's fill the stands with Storm Pride as we cheer on our ladies!! Go Storm!


On Tuesday, November 26th, there will be no Brainstorm after school as we have a 2:00pm dismissal for the start of our Thanksgiving break. There is no school on Wednesday, November 27th, Thursday, November 28th, or Friday, November 29th. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!🍁

It's a BIG day for BVJH athletics! Our 7th/8th boys basketball teams have a break this week, but our 6th grade boys will travel to East-Coloma to take on the bulldogs at 5:00. Our 8th grade girls basketball team will tip off against Princeville at 5:30 in the regional semi-final. Good luck to both teams today! Go Storm!



4th grade learned about dances around the world in reading class. Annette DeMay did a presentation on Hawaiian dance moves. The students enjoyed learning about 4 different dance moves and the special names for them. They had a great time.




This afternoon our BVJH/BVE staff celebrated our 3 moms-to-be with a baby shower. Congratulations to Mrs. Hartz, Mrs. Johnson, and Mrs. Cassidy and their families!




Ms. Bitting's third grade would like to thank Mr. Tom Mott for coming to visit their classroom to talk about his career in the Air Force. Mr. Mott also talked about creating "me" goals and "we" goals, and what it means to be responsible, disciplined, and kind.
