The weather was perfect this week for third grade's field trip to the I & M Canal in LaSalle. The students learned about the history of the canal, how it connected Lake Michigan to the Mississippi River, and its instrumental role in transporting both goods and people in the 1800's. They learned about the mules that pulled the boats and the resilient workers who dug the canal. It was an amazing experience.

Miss Yepsen's 4th graders are learning about how the brain controls the body. Today they tested their reflexes to see how quickly their brains could respond to a dropping object. Some of their reaction times were equal to the time it takes for a lightning bolt to travel 10 miles or for a rocket ship to travel a 1/2 mile!

What an exciting start to the season! 🏀

Our junior high girls basketball teams came out strong, bringing home wins at all three levels in their first games of the year! 6th grade came out on top vs Henry, while the 7th grade got the job done at Annawan, and then the 8th grade came away from an OVERTIME BATTLE with Annawan 💪👏

We’re proud of their hard work, teamwork, and determination on the court. Let’s keep that momentum going all season long!
