The seventh grade social studies class was able to experience some Australia culture by learning how to throw a boomerang last week.

Mrs. Hoyt and Mr. McNabb's 8th grade Physical Science classes are studying about position and motion. Students collaborated with their group members while completing the lab activity "How do you get there from here?" The students are beginning to realize just how important it is to give specific instructions and enough details in order for someone to know exactly how to follow their instructions.

Students in 7th Grade Ag tapped into their creative side!! Agriculture students were tasked with creating a beautiful flower arrangement utilizing design principles such as balance, harmony, and contract! The 7th Graders then requested that the High School Ag students vote on their favorite arrangement!
6th Grade Earth Science is learning about the density of Earth's interior layers. Today, they modeled the densities of each layer in their Lab using corn syrup, glycerin, water, and vegetable oil!🥽🧪
8th grade Physical Science students researched information about Famous Scientists. They then created a Wanted poster with their findings and presented the posters to their classmates.
Eighth grade artists have been working on posterized portraits of someone they admire. They learned how to edit images in Pixlr - E, create and use a grid to draw the different values in the portraits. They are now mixing tints and shades to paint the portraits. Great work!

As 4th grade discusses citizenship this week, we want to thank Mrs. Cindy for coming in to speak to our classes about the process to become a United States citizen. She shared documents and explained the steps she had to complete.
The sixth grade social studies classes used their knowledge of latitude, longitude, continents, and oceans to create balloon globes for display.
The 7th graders made muffins from scratch a few weeks ago
7B making homemade applesauce sauce and learning how to use an immersion blender. The apple sauce was delicious!
JH FOOTBALL UPDATE:
Wednesday night's junior high football game has been moved back to start at 6:00pm due to transportation issues with the visiting school. We are excited to see our Storm at home! GO STORM!
Tonight's junior high football practice has been canceled due to the weather. All football boys please go home after school.
4th grade is studying different types of energy and created "Missing Energy" posters to share with the class. Can you find these energies around you?
It is that time of year again!! Fannie Mae will be going home today with all junior high students. Please support our PTO and Student Council! Orders are due October 6th.
Ms. Haley's 8th grade Character & Career class worked in groups to learn about career clusters. The groups brainstormed which careers belonged to each career cluster as an intro to their career unit.
