7th grade Life Science students are learning about classification of living things. To simulate this idea, the students were given a bag of buttons and beads to classify. They were able to choose how they wanted to classify their objects within their groups. They then had to compare their results with their classmates.

Ms. Ackerman's 7th grade ELA class presented their non-fiction articles focusing on the events of 9/11. Students had to identify and explain what led to the attacks and the effects we see in our country today. They all did a wonderful job teaching each other about this topic!

In a tech filled world, it is still important for kids to have map reading skills. It helps develop spatial awareness and a sense of direction & also empowers kids to be more self-reliant, enabling them to find their way in unfamiliar places without relying solely on technology.
