🎓8th Grade - grAGUation🎓
Students completed their quarter-long 8th Grade Agriculture Career Readiness Course on Friday! To celebrate their successful completion of the course a grAGUation ceremony was held! Including Pomp & Circumstance, certificates, and some goodies!
We can’t wait to see where the future takes our Q1 grAGuates!
Congratulations to Autumn Roth (choir/alto) and Kylie Endress (french horn) for being selected for District 2 ILMEA Junior Choir & Junior Band!! They have been working really hard and putting in extra time to audition! They will now represent Bureau Valley on November 4th at Augustana College in playing with the top musicians in the state of Illinois. Way to represent ladies!! Good luck!

The BVJH Student Council has decided on our dress up days for junior high. The elementary will have color day instead of twin day with the colors noted on the below. Make sure to note the difference between junior high and elementary dress up days. We are looking forward to see many students dressed up!

Our BVE first quarter incentive was a success! The students earned some gym time and watched "The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown."

Due to the weather and field conditions, there will be no junior high football practice tonight. There will also be no junior high football game tomorrow at Rockridge due to the weather and field conditions as well. Boys will have practice on Monday from 3:00-5:00. High school senior, Payne Lind spoke to Ms. Haley's 8th grade class about his high school experience and college plans.

Our 7th grade picks up another win to go 6-1 in conference play. They are looking to secure a #2 seed in the SRC next week when they play Streator! Good luck tomorrow ladies and in the rest of your season!

8th grade Physical Science students are learning about Position and Motion. Today's lab was about "How can motion change?" Students were given 5 plastic tubes, one marble, a plastic bowl, and masking tape. The task was to create a tube slide that would allow you to observe how the motion of a marble changes as it rolls down the slide. All of the groups were able to successfully complete the task.
Freedom House came to our junior high today to talk about Erin's Law and relationships.
Junior High PE is practicing teamwork and cooperation in a game of battleship!

Students in Ms. Crabtree's class have been learning about different forms of matter. They were able to look and experiment with different forms of matter deciding if they were liquid, solid, or gas.

JH Football Update:
Tonight's game vs Stark County has been rescheduled for October 23rd with a start time of 4:30. We will recognize our 8th graders at 4:20 before the game. The JV football game will be played after at 6:00. Let's get a big Storm crowd for our final game of the year for our junior high and junior varsity. Go Storm!
