Mrs. Krug's 3rd grade Math class spent some time outside to discover multiplication and division in nature! They had fun finding objects in nature and breaking them apart into equal groups, then writing the equations that go along with it.

K-5 students in Mrs. Phillips and Mrs. Minssen's classes have been learning about Veteran's Day. They are practicing important vocabulary words, writing short notes, and citing text evidence. Students worked on some mini projects/pages to show their patriotism. Thank you for your service, Veterans. They are looking forward to our Veteran's Day Assembly this week!

The third grade class is practicing how to measure using the metric system. They are doing this by measuring their feet. Their partners measure both the right foot and left foot. They have to measure using centimeters, and then covert to millimeters. Did you know that most people tend to have one foot that is slightly larger than the other one? Also, it is easier and more accurate to measure metrically.
