
7th grade went outside for class this morning and gathered leaves. Once the students got their 12 leaves we came back inside and sorted them into groups by their different characteristics.





Congratulations to Autumn Roth and Lainey Fruge who qualified for ILMEA. Autumn qualified in chorus and Lainey qualified in band. They will perform November 5th at Augustana with the best musicians in the state. Big congratulations ladies!! Way to represent! Go Storm!



Mrs. Bell’s class studied the difference between prose and drama. They read a drama piece and acted it out in class. They had a lot of fun this week!





Mr. DeVenney’s class did an amazing job on their first book reports. We met and learned about so many new people!

Our elementary students participated in bus safety this week. They learned about bus signals, evacuation, and behavior on the bus. Thank you to our transportation department!




Congratulations to Claire Gould, and her winning Art Club t-shirt design! All Art Club members were encouraged to submit a design. Members voted for the design they liked the most. There were many great designs this year, keep up the great work Art Club!


Thank you to Westwood in Sterling for
hosting our junior high students for their first quarter incentive. The students were able to do the ninja course, play on the turf field, and shoot hoops in their building.

Manlius 3rd 4th 5th graders enjoyed their morning watching Lyle Lyle Crocodile for their 1st quarter incentive.


Good luck to our 7th/8th grade girls basketball teams tonight on their final home game of the season! 8th grade recognition will happen right before tip off the 8th grade game. Both teams start tournament play on Saturday! Good luck ladies!

Mrs. Rediger’s class celebrated a goal during the first quarter no missing work in all sections and good attendance! Cookie party!





Writing and Walking Like an Egyptian! The 6th grade social studies class deciphered each others hieroglyphics of Ancient Egypt. They also learned about Ancient Egyptian art. The important body parts had to be drawn properly according to Ancient Egyptian artists.





Mrs. Kuelper’s fifth grade social studies class has been learning about the Revolutionary War. The students created a timeline and had to put the events in order.





7C was Mrs.Schoff’s first class to earn 15 minutes of their choice. They decided to spend their time outside on the playground this morning. Good job 7C for a job well done.

Red Ribbon Week is just around the corner for our BVE & BVJH buildings. Red Ribbon Week is October 24th-28th. We would love to have each student participate in the daily dress up days which are found in the flyer below. Remember to follow the school dress code policy. We will also have small activities for the students to participate in that week as well. Let's Celebrate Life and Live Drug Free! Go Storm!

What a great night for BVJH Girls Basketball! 7th and 8th grade defeated LaSalle at home and 6th grade won on the road in Henry. Our fan section in Manlius was also amazing!⚡️🏀💙
