
Good luck to our 6th-8th grade girls basketball teams tonight as our 6th grade travels to Henry to wrap up their season and our 7th/8th grade will host the Henry Cardinals. We will also be honoring our 8th graders in between games and Interact will be doing the infamous Chuck A Duck at halftime of the 8th grade game. All proceeds of Chuck A Duck will go towards the Believe Foundation in Princeton.



Our 8th grade took the annual trip to Shadows of the Blue and Gray this morning. They learned about the various artillery in war, as well as watch a cannon being shot off. It's always a great privilege to learn have this trip for our 8th graders.


This quarter, our 8th-grade social studies students stepped into the shoes of IL government officials as part of our Constitution unit. Each student was assigned a role in one of the three branches of government and worked together to pass new laws in a mock legislative session.





Thank you to Mr. Roush for coming to our building today to teach fire safety, as well as show our students the various parts of the fire truck. Big shout out to Mrs. Platz, who showed off her fire extinguisher skills for our students!

Our 7th/8th girls basketball teams are back in action tonight vs Annawan starting at 4:30 in the Storm Gym! Good luck to our ladies as they take on the Bravettes!

Good luck to our 6th grade girls basketball team as they play for in the championship game at the JFK tournament today! They took down Princeton last night 31-15 and beat JFK 20-10. Go Get' Em Ladies! Go Storm!


STORM FRIDAY!! Our students showed great support for our football team today as there was a sea of blue in the hallway! Congratulations to Brianna and Jayden Crownover for winning Best Dress of the Day! Good luck tonight Storm! Go Get'Em!!


Day 4 of Homecoming was groovy!! Tie dye colors were bright and bold in our building. Congratulations to Kylie Endress and Kailee Walters on winning Best Dress of the Day!


Mrs. Kitchens and Mrs. Krug were able to host their first fall concert among all the homecoming activities. Our junior high and high school students put on great performances for everyone to enjoy on Wednesday night! Great job students and directors! We are excited to start this annual tradition!


Crazy, Wacky, Wonky!!
BVJH/BVE student's didn't know what to think of WACKY Day! From long and puffy wigs to mismatch socks to crazy outfits, our students went all out for Day 3 of Homecoming. Congratulations to Lola King and Nolan Hellrung for Best Dressed! We also were able to play "Name That Tune" 9th hour with all the Homerooms and 6B came away with a win and earned a recess!


Ms. Smith's 7A ELA students learned about survival skills while reading the adventure novel, Hatchet, by Gary Paulson. Then they put them to use on the BV Manlius Campus. Great job 7A!






Ms. Bitting's third graders recently wrote essays describing the main character in the story Scaredy Squirrel. Then they drew squirrels by following the step-by-step instructions provided in an Art Hub video.





This week in Mrs. Kuelper‘s fifth grade science class we learned why you need to clean a fish tank but not a pond. The students did an activity to create an ecosystem for their fish with a healthy carbon dioxide level. They had to have three fish foods, two decomposers, and as many producers to keep within the healthy carbon dioxide level for their pond.







It was a bright day in Manlius for Neon Day for Homecoming Day #2. Congratulations to Madison Shipp and Miranda Noder on being Best Dressed, and remember tomorrow is Wacky Wednesday. We also hid 5 lightning bolts to be found today by the students, Avery Pratt, Isaac Pratt, Jayce Kassel-Sampson, Harper Wetzell, and Brooklyn Rowland were our lucky winners today.
