Special BVHS Update:The BVHS Scholastic Bowl team won the Wethersfield Regional Championship this evening! They advance to the Elmwood Sectional on Saturday, March 12th. Congrats to all team members and coaches! This is an outstanding accomplishment!

An amazing turnout at the Prairie Arts Center’s Art gallery in Princeton for the opening night of a gallery of artwork by the super talented BVHS artists. The gallery will remain on display throughout the month of March. Great work Mrs. Nichols and Art 4 students!!!

Good luck to Carter Salisbury as he represents Bureau Valley at the Mendota Sectional IHSA Three-Point Shooting Competition. Carter will shoot around 5:30 this evening. No ticket will need to be purchased to watch Carter shoot. The gym will be cleared following the competition.

Force vectors have a strength and direction. Physics students are using a force table and trigonometry to determine the sum of the three force vectors.



Isotopes are atoms of the same element that have different masses because they contain different numbers of neutrons. Physical Science students are working to calculate the average atomic mass of the newly-discovered element M&M-ium.

BVHS Art 4 Seniors are proud to display their artwork during the whole month of March at the Prairie Art Center in Princeton. Artists include Ella Entas, Hope Richardson, Thomas Sullivan, Sterling Horner, and Grace Zeman. Opening night reception is Friday, March 4th from 5-7pm.

Huge congratulations to Miss Johnston on being recognized as a finalist for the Golden Owl Award! The honor places her as one of the top 5 agriculture teachers in the state of Illinois.

Illinois Association FFA Vice President Jaton Shaffer helping Ag Construction students design Rube Goldberg machines. Their goal is to turn on a light switch!
