Congratulations to this year's BVHS John Ourth winners: Izabel Wallace and Alaina Wasilewski! Both were selected based on academics, service, demeanor, participation, and other qualities. The two students and their parents will attend a a ceremony on Feb. 23rd in Streator.

In the Periodic Table, elements are arranged according to properties that change in a regular fashion across and down the table. To introduce this idea, Chemistry students are arranging "aliens" into a grid so that their characteristics change across the grid in a logical way.

5th hour General PE really “HIIT” it off with today’s Workout Wednesday exercises. A 15 minute High Intensity Interval Training session had the class sweating by the end.

1st Period Storm strength & conditioning students working on being the best version of themselves as they tackle today’s workout! 💪🏼⚡️




Physical Science students are working with simple machines. The length of the string pulled, multiplied by the force needed to pull it, equals the weight of the block multiplied by the distance it moves.



Physics students are using the equations of motion to predict the distance traveled by a projectile. If the range is calculated correctly, the launched marble lands in the can. Bull's eye!

As World History students tackle their unit on conflict, they held "Cabinet Meetings" today to identify research-based strategies and develop their own plans for settling the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.


We are becoming experts with our throwing and catching in Adapted PE, and today we used baseball gloves. Josh, Owen, Jr and Callie did a fantastic job!
