BVHS Track & Field Scheduling Update: This evenings boys/girls track meet scheduled for 4:00 @ Amboy has been CANCELED. The boys and girls track teams will be back in action on Saturday, April 16th at the Rollie Morris Invitational hosted by Hall H.S at 10:00am.

BV Leadership students have worked to promote a Mental Health Awareness Week for next week, April 18-22. Themed dress up days throughout the week will serve as a lead up to the Saturday, April 23rd "You Will Be Found" event hosted by Arukah at Grace Theater in Princeton.


The Bureau Valley Girls Track & Field Invite team championship goes to Annawan-Wethersfield. Fulton finishes 2nd and the host STORM finished 3rd. Thank you to all participants, spectators and meet workers who braved some very windy conditions! Nice to see the kids compete!

Congrats to the Bureau Valley Storm varsity baseball team on a 12-7 home victory against A-W. Finally a nice day for some baseball! Guys back in action on Saturday with a DH @ PC. (11/1)

BVHS Baseball Scheduling Update: The Varsity baseball game scheduled for today at Annawan will now be played at Bureau Valley. Varsity baseball HOME today at 4:30 vs. A-W. The Varsity softball and JV softball games will still be played in Annawan 4:30 varsity start.

Congratulations to the BVHS band and choir on some excellent performances at the IHSA Organizational Contest on Friday! Special congratulations to the choir, who received a Division I rating from all three judges! We are proud of you all!

Driver’s Ed. students learn about the dangers of impaired driving. Students participated in Mario Cart, mock field sobriety tests, and dot-to-dot pictures using the impairment goggles.





Chemistry students are working on writing the formulas for ionic compounds. To determine the correct formula, the negative charges (blue pieces) must balance the positive charges (pink pieces).

Bureau Valley took home seven first places, eight second places, five third places, & four honorable mentions at last night’s conference art show!Congrats to all who participated!


Coach Pistole talked to the 4th period Leadership class regarding his roles at Astec Industries and as BV head football coach and his thoughts on being an effective leader.


PC's for People is hosting an event through WACC to give away computers to families in need. Eligibility is noted on the attached flyer.

Monday, April 4th BVHS Athletics Update: Special Congratulations to both our boys and girls track team for winning their quad meet. Congrats to the FS softball team for winning their game over Newman. Both Varsity baseball and Varsity softball lost close games to Newman.

Congratulations to recent BVHS Principal's Award winners who have exhibited Unity, Excellence, and Pride: Viviana Calderon, Titus Cook, Jack Gartner, Lillian Riordan, Layne Sproston, and Cole Walowski.
