BVJH had a special visitor on Wednesday organized by our amazing BVJH ELA department. Guadalupe Garcia McCall who wrote "Summer of the Mariposas" was able to come and speak with all our students about her book. The book is part of our 6th grade curriculum so all our current students have read it. Some students were even able to eat lunch with her and have their books signed by her! Thank you to our ELA department for organizing such a fantastic event for our students to experience.

In celebration of Earth Day, sixth and seventh grade social studies classes joined forces to clean up garbage around the school and Manlius. They did a great job of making a positive impact for their school and community.
Earth Day and animal adaptations was the topic in Mrs. Bell's 4th grade classroom. The students created chameleons using solar beads. When they went outside in the sunlight the chameleons changed colors.
