Congrats to Carter Salisbury on Advancing to the Mendota Sectional in the IHSA Three-Point Shooting competition. Carter will shoot on Friday at 5:30.
NO weight lifting afterschool this week. Student-Athletes are maxing out in Advanced PE

BVHS Art 4 Seniors are proud to display their artwork during the whole month of March at the Prairie Art Center in Princeton. Artists include Ella Entas, Hope Richardson, Thomas Sullivan, Sterling Horner, and Grace Zeman. Opening night reception is Friday, March 4th from 5-7pm.


Huge congratulations to Miss Johnston on being recognized as a finalist for the Golden Owl Award! The honor places her as one of the top 5 agriculture teachers in the state of Illinois.

Congratulations to senior Adam Johnson on being the 2022 John Ourth winner from Bureau Valley High School. Joined by his family at today's banquet, Adam will be recognized with a plaque by the Starved Rock region of the Illinois Principals Association.

Physics students are going on a treasure hunt! Vectors are arrows that show the direction and size of a displacement, force, speed, etc. By plotting the vectors on a "treasure map," students can navigate their way to the treasure.

BVHS Girls Basketball Special Announcement: Kyra Stoller makes 12/15 3 point shots at the IHSA Princeton Regional tonight to advance to the Chillicothe IVC Sectional next Thursday, Feb. 24th. We are all very proud of you Kyra! Good luck next week! Go Kyra!

Students in Miss Johnston's Food Science class have been learning about the USDA MyPlate. Students made their own meal following the MyPlate guidelines with omelettes, strawberries, and wheat toast.

BVHS student-athlete announcement: Congratulations to Nevin Bolin on signing to play football next year at the University of St. Francis.


BVHS freshman boys basketball team will not be traveling to Newman tonight for their 3rd place tournament game. A makeup date is TBD. Coach Jamison will notify freshman players IF the 3rd place game will be made up.

The Princeton class 2A girls regional basketball championship and 3 point shooting competition scheduled for tonight Thursday, Feb. 17th will be postponed to tomorrow night Friday, Feb. 18th. The same time schedule will be followed! Good luck to our BV girls 3 point shooters!

The National Honor Society hosted a successful blood drive today partnering with ImpactLife.




ATTENTION STORM FANS: Saturday, Feb. 19th BVHS will be hosting a Quarterfinal Regional Boys Basketball game vs. Mendota. This regional game will start at 5:00. This is an IHSA postseason event so NO passes will be accepted. Admission will be $5.00 for everyone!
