Storm Families, To have your child counted as present for today's E-Learning, please log in to TeacherEase by 11:00 AM. Upon logging in, you'll be prompted to check in your child for E-Learning. This process needs to be repeated for each of your children. If you're unable to log in or lack access, please contact your child(ren)'s school via phone or email to inform them. Storm Families, Due to hazardous road conditions, particularly on our country roads, Bureau Valley Schools will switch to an E-Learning day instead of a late start today, January 23rd. E-learning details will be communicated to you via Google Classroom/email by 10 AM.

Dear Storm Families, We are currently experiencing technical issues with our school announcement system, affecting both calls and text messages. We apologize for any confusion caused. Here is the official announcement for school tomorrow: On Wednesday, January 17th, Bureau Valley Schools will be delayed by 1 hour. All bus routes will run 1 hour late. No breakfast will be served. Morning Pre-K will be in session from 9:00 am to 10:30 am. Afternoon Pre-K will be in session from 12:10 pm to 2:40 pm. Please check social media and our website for updates on extracurricular activities. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we resolve these technical challenges.

Dear Parents and Guardians, Due to the forecasted frigid temperatures and related concerns about safe transportation, we have decided to implement a 1-hour delayed start for school tomorrow. Important Details: School Start Time: Classes will begin exactly 1 hour later than the usual start time. Busing: School buses will run on a 1-hour delayed schedule. 🚨 Important Safety Update for Parents 🚨 Dear Parents and Guardians, We want to inform you of an incident that occurred today at our Manlius Campus. As a precautionary measure, all students and staff were safely evacuated due to unusually high readings of carbon dioxide detected in our building. The safety and well-being of our students and staff are our top priorities. Emergency services were immediately contacted, and professionals are currently assessing the situation. We are working closely with them to ensure that the building is safe before anyone re-enters. Please be assured that all students are safe accounted for and dismissed normally. Brainstorm students have been relocated to the Central Office where they will continue normal programming. We will provide further updates as soon as more information is available. Youth Service Bureau of Illinois Valley (YSB) is a child welfare agency. The agency’s foster care program helps provide services to over 600 children in care. They cover over 20 different counties. Children in care range from newborn to 18 years old. They come from a variety of different cultures and backgrounds. Some children may be mentally or physically disabled, have a variety of medical issues, or suffer from years of trauma. There are some children in care who lack a supporting and loving home. Which is why their agency is in desperate need of new foster homes and are reaching out to our community for support. Opening up your home to a child in care is both rewarding and educational. Thankful Thursday - It's been a week since Thanksgiving, a day dedicated to expressing gratitude. Today, on the final day of November, I want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our amazing Staff, Students, Board, and entire District at Bureau Valley CUSD 340. I am thrilled to announce that, according to the 2023 Illinois Report Card, ALL schools in our district achieved an overall rating of COMMENDABLE, except our BVJH/Elementary School, which earned the highest honor of EXEMPLARY! Congratulations to everyone for creating such outstanding learning environments in our schools!  GO STORM!
